Dalit Welfare Association
Dalit Welfare Association (DWA) is a service-oriented, nonprofit voluntary organization undertaking humanitarian social service activities for the welfare of poor and marginalized communities. DWA’s core focus is women’s development and the upliftment of Dalit communities in the hillside villages of Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh, with key programme areas spanning education, self-help group formation, and youth, women, and child development.

Mission
To empower marginalized communities — Dalit and Tribal people, women, children, youth, and individuals with disabilities — by promoting education, health, sustainable livelihoods, and social inclusion, enabling them to lead dignified and self-reliant lives.

To project the environment & hygiene values in rural areas

The Dalit Welfare Association (DWA) runs an Orphanage Home in Govindpalle, providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for nearly 100 children from the marginalized Budaga Jangala community. The home is dedicated to ensuring every child has access to quality education, nutritious food, healthcare, clothing, and emotional support.
Our mission is to empower these children with the knowledge, values, and life skills they need to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future. Through love, care, and equal opportunities, we strive to help every child grow with dignity, confidence, and hope. The Budaga Jangala community has historically faced significant educational and social disadvantages, making sustained support for children especially important.
